Palo Alto, October 9, 2007 — iControl Networks, Inc., a leading provider of mass-market solutions to remotely monitor and control your home, is embarking on its next phase of growth with the appointment of Paul Dawes as the company's new chief executive officer. Paul will replace founding CEO Reza Raji, who created the vision for the company four years ago and led its early growth and success including the recent launch of the iControl Home Security 2.0 solution. Reza will assume the role of president, chairman and chief operating officer.
"This is a very exciting time for iControl," said Dawes. "We wouldn't be where we are today without Reza. He created the concept, built a world-class team and created a technology platform that now provides broadband operators and home security companies with the foundation for a new and innovative service offering. I'm excited to work with Reza to continue the momentum he established and further position the company for future growth."
Founded in 2003, iControl is a recognized leader in wireless remote home monitoring for the broadband home security industry. Last month, iControl launched Home Security 2.0, which brings broadband connectivity and the benefits of remote home monitoring and home control functionality to traditional monitored home security systems. Monitronics is the first home security company to announce they will offer this revolutionary solution in the U.S., and iControl is solidifying agreements with numerous other home security, broadband and telecommunications companies to deploy this solution.
"We're a highly experienced and focused team, and we made this decision to build upon the successful foundation we've already created," stated Raji. "I have known Paul for several years and personally recruited him into iControl eight months ago. I believe Paul is uniquely qualified to lead this company into what promises to be a very exciting growth stage, and I'm looking forward to working with him to deliver a world-class product and service for our partners."
